KQV Announcers

Bruce Sakalik
Morning Anchor

Bruce started at KQV in March of 2000. His start in broadcasting came at WESA in Charleroi, where he was hired by the then WESA news director, now KQV sports director, Eric Hagman. Bruce is a graduate of Belle Vernon High School and Point Park University. He is married to Erin and they have two children, Alexandra and Jonathan. Bruce is also a PIAA basketball official and a PIAA/Collegiate baseball umpire.

 

PJ Maloney
Morning Anchor

PJ started at KQV in October 1975. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh and is a board member of the Bloomfield Garfield Corporation. PJ has two children, Maureen and Brian.


 

Joe Fenn
Afternoon Anchor

Joe came to KQV in 1992. He got his start in broadcasting in Akron, Ohio doing news, sports and music at WCUE, A-M/F-M. Joe is a ham radio operator in his spare time. 

 


Dan Weinberg
Reporter, Weekend Anchor

Dan came to KQV in June of 1997. He got his start in broadcasting as a KQV intern the previous summer. Dan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dan is active in Pittsburgh’s Ultimate Frisbee league. He enjoys baseball, reading and in his spare time, Dan is a karaoke dj.


Bob Sprague
Weekend Anchor


Bob recently retired after anchoring weekend mornings at KQV since 1985. He got his start in broadcasting as a news reporter and disc jockey at WMAJ 1450 AM in State College. He also worked as senior general assignment on camera reporter for WTAE-TV and KDKA-TV here in Pittsburgh. Bob is graduate of Penn State. He is a retired Commander in the U-S Naval Reserve, a former member of the Mendelssohn choir of Pittsburgh and the former president of the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Society of Public Administration.
